The NOW of Dutch fashion presented itself October 2010 at Shanghai Fashion Week. DUTCH FASHION HERE & NOW was a complete program that included runway shows by academy graduates and presentations by four of the most exciting new Dutch designers—as well as private fittings, a showroom and sourcing trips.

DUTCH FASHION GRADUATES HERE & NOW
Three Dutch academies—looking to forge sustainable relationships with Chinese academies and the country’s fashion industry—presented the 2010 graduate collections of their most talented students to an audience in Shanghai. Participating academies were the AMFI- Amsterdam Fashion Institute; the Royal Academy of Art, the Hague; and the Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam.
DUTCH FASHION AVANT-GARDE HERE & NOW
This event presented a cutting-edge runway show featuring four high-level Dutch designers—including 'new glam' couture from MATTIJS van Bergen, avant-garde design from And Beyond, street couture from Daryl van Wouw and premium denim design of Avelon. And Beyond and Daryl van Wouw are returning guests in Shanghai (both presented during Shanghai International Creative Industries Week in 2009). Catwalkmusic by the famous Star Studded Studio’s.

The Dutch designer labels spotted on the runway were presented in an exclusive showroom hosted by high level Dutch fashion tradefair Modefabriek. The collections of And Beyond, Daryl van Wouw, MATTIJS van Bergen, Avelon and INDIVIDUALS were available for press photography and sales inquiries. INDIVIDUALS is the unique fashion label that is designed, produced and marketed by young creatives of the AMFI-Amsterdam Fashion Institute. Hottest Dutch fashion photographers Petrovsky & Ramone presented their latest work in an exhibition.
Amsterdam-based fashion-recruitment and consultancy agency HTNK coordinates the project DUTCH FASHION HERE & NOW, which is commissioned by the DutchDFA programme and MODINT, the Dutch trade association for fashion and interior textiles.
