Medular Pavilion
The Shenzhen & Hong Kong Bi-City of Urbanism/Architecture took place between 5 December 2009 and 23 January 2010. The event’s theme was ‘City Mobilisation’. The DutchDFA programme has supported the Medular pavilion and showed the Dutch Profiles there.
At the 2009 SZHK biennale, several Dutch architects and artists presented their work, including OMA, Maurer United Architects, NAi, Neville Mars, Lara Almarcegui, Go West.
In collaboration with DutchDFA, the Modern Media Group (one of China’s most prominent culturally oriented magazine publishers) has developed a public pavilion, designed by Dutch architecture agency Maurer United. The pavilion is meant as a place to read and network. The Medular Pavilion also hosted screenings of the Dutch Profiles made by Submarine.
