SICIW 2010
After winning first prize in 2009, the Dutch returned to the Shanghai International Creative Industry Week 2010 (15-25/9) with a group of design professionals and the Dutch Design Awards show. Official Opening of DDA was on 16 september with the seminar '100 minutes of design' with Dutch & Chinese designers.
Shanghai Creative Industry Week held September 2010 is highly regarded internationally as a comprehensive platform to promote creative industries. SICIW is a city-sponsored and endorsed event that will be a week - long celebration of all things design, architecture and fashion. SICIW has been held annually since 2005 and has attracted over 400,000 visitors, of which 60 per cent have been industry professionals, government officials and VIP guests. Exhibitors from more than 30 countries have showcased their products during this week–long expo. It has achieved acclaim and the status as one of Shanghai's most influential creative events.
The finalists and winners of the Dutch Design Awards 2009 were on show during SICIW 2010. DutchDFA coordinated a mission from 14 to 20 September for Dutch designers, supporting and highlighting the Dutch presence.
