Website 2.0
Mid-September 2010 sees the launch of the updated version of the DutchDFA website. Its layered design was developed over the summer by a multidisciplinary team involving Bart Driessen (Zinnebeeld), Tijl Akkermans (Thonik), Sandra van Vliet and the DutchDFA programme office.
The new site design was developed with a focus on fluid navigation in the present and painless adaptation in the future. After the programme ends, Dutch Profiles, NL News and Mapping NL will come to the fore, while the programme information will sink into the background.
For now, current information on the programme is on top, factual information is easier to find and the DutchDFA twitter feed features next to a calendar of activities.
Over the next two years, the NL Mapping part of the site will be developed to contain relevant and up-to-date data on design, fashion and architecture in The Netherlands: education, organisations, trade and industry, media, awards, events and exhibitions, funding, government.
