Face to Face

2010 marked the 10th anniversary of the Face to Face conference for business and design. This international convention of design took place November 4-6, 2010 in the film, media and design city of Ludwigsburg in Germany. At Face to Face, the focus is on dialogue between professional designers and design clients: bringing people together – actively, directly, and across borders. 

 

Face to Face is the only design conference worldwide to constantly bring design clients and professional designers onto the stage together – since 2001. They make design processes publicly known, and present projects from design, architecture and the world of business. 

 

The partner country of Face to Face changes every year, but as the theme in 2010 was "10 Years, 10 Nations" speakers and guests from Germany as well as from the partner countries of the past 9 years are expected.

 

Dutch speakers at Face to Face 2010 were presented by DutchDFA partner BNO (Association of Dutch Designers) and they included:

 

November 5 at 10.30 hrs - Exploring identities

November 6 at 16.15 - Clay Service 

Lecture on typical Dutch design process and product by N.N., Royal Tichelaar Makkum | Royal Cabinetmaker's Workshop Makkum (see picture above). Nadine Sterk & Lonny van Ryswyck, Designers & Managing Partners, Atelier NL, Eindhoven.
