Norm=Form Leipzig
The Association of Dutch Designers (BNO) and Foundation Design Den Haag together organised a 3-day programme for Dutch designers, architects, students and companies to the Dutch-Saxony symposium on standardisation and design on September 2nd, 2011.
On Friday September 2nd, 2011, the Dutch-Saxony symposium 'Norm=Form, über Standardisierung und Design' took place in Leipzig. Dutch and German designers and companies illustrated the influence of normalisation on product design, visual communication, architecture and fashion and critical notes were made. To what extent current standards are usable in the future? How many rules and agreements which were made a long time ago are still profitable for economics today? Should some rules be replaced by others in favour of economic ánd cultural innovation?
