Dutch designers head to Mumbai

Kyoorius DesignYatra, the annual two day design conference in Mumbai, will take place on September 3 and 4. The conference features a number of Dutch speakers, who will share their experience and expertise with the Indian creative industry. The programme includes typographer Peter Bilàk (Typotheque), graphic designer Gert Dumbar (Studio Dumbar) and trend watcher Li Edelkoort. Upcoming talent Bas van der Veer is included in talent sidebar ‘Young Blood’.

Amsterdam based motion graphics and design agency Addikt participated in last year’s edition of DesignYatra and was chosen to create the visual identity of the upcoming edition. The choice for Addikt was based on their ability to start off with setting the concept, the identity design, and produce all of the needed items themselves. Addikt developed the theme ‘Order & Chaos’, designed the website (in conjunction with Figtree from Malaysia) and produced animations for the opening titles and speaker announcements. Addikt also made the interactive billboards, poster and flyers.

The participation of Dutch designers at DesignYatra 2010 is supported by the Dutch Design Fashion Architecture (DutchDFA) programme.
