Follow a Muse is a new creative producer of interactive adventure stories, compatible for tablets, smart phones and smart boards. Its beautifully designed applications, connect to the growing need for playful reading and learning experiences for children. Interactive animations, educational games and innovative applications of augmented reality are fully integrated in the stories and therefore keep the children’s attention. For its productions, Follow a Muse works with teams of professionals that use new audiovisual and interactive possibilities to its fullest potential.
Interactive adventure on the tablet-pc; cold media becomes warm
Amon & Amara is a unique tablet application, developed by the new Dutch digital publishing company Follow a Muse. The interactive adventure is published in 3 languages; Dutch, English and Chinese and will be presented on one of the biggest book fairs of the World. The Beijing International Book Fair will be held from the 31st of August until the 4th of September, 2011. In October 2011 the application will be present in the app-store for iPhone and iPad, later this year it will also be available for Android. The app combines an exciting adventure for children with augmented reality, interactive game-elements and stunning artwork. The adventure will be available for different digital media, but also a hard copy book will be published. All media will be launched in the Dutch Children’s Book Week in October this year.

Follow a Muse is a new creative producer of interactive adventure stories, compatible for tablets, smart phones and smart boards. Amon&Amara, an Egyptian adventure, is the first interactive story produced by Follow a Muse. The app is developed in collaboration with the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities. During the Children’s Book Fair, which will take place in October this year, Amon&Amara will be launched. The first version of the app will be presented on one of the biggest book fairs in the world, the Beijing International Book Fair. Here Follow a Muse’s founders will present their vision on the opportunities of interactive, educational reading experiences. Besides Dutch and English, Amon & Amara will also be published in Chinese.
Amon & Amara, an Egyptian adventure
Go on expedition in the magical ancient Egypt, alone or together. Follow Amon, son of baker, and the always curious princess Amara in an interactive, educational adventure. Fun, educational games are integrated in the adventure and the whole adventure has a unique relation with the Egyptian collection at the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities. Dig deeper and find out more about history! Experience that learning through narratives is fun and easy.
Ancient and Modern; Read aloud and augmented reality
Amon & Amara is an interactive, educational tablet application with the function to read aloud. It is an Egyptian adventure that is all about friendship, life and death, curiosity and courage. The story has been written in collaboration with the Dutch National Museum of antiquity. For children between 4 and 9 years old, this story provides a way to learn about the ancient Egyptian life in a playful way. By making use of the newest developments in interactive animation, games and augmented reality, children are enabled to read the story individually or with a little help. This app provides an excellent opportunity to educate in a relaxed way. For older children an extensive thesaurus is available.
Amon & Amara teaser
The Egyptian princess Amara is terribly bored. She escapes from the palace and comes across Amon. He teaches her how to dodge dangerous crocodile-jaws. However, one day he is caught by a giant crocodile himself. To save him, Amara needs to crack secret hieroglyphs, solve riddles and find a bottle of wonder oil in a maze swarmed with scorpions.
