Scholten & Baijings
The presence of the proces
Designers Scholten & Baijings hold an unique position within the Dutch design community. From the start of their careers they followed their own path, removed from the broader movement of typical conceptual Dutch design.
Recently major design brands such as Hay and Established & Sons have lined up to work with this talented duo.
Here, in the Municipal Museum of Den Bosch they are preparing an exhibition of their latest work, including their award winning project: Paper Porcelain.
Whether working for the industry, or just doing their own projects – it doesn’t matter much to Scholten & Baijings. Their research project Textile Vegetables for instance, was a study in color and form, but it ended up in the art collection of Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
During the 2011 Milan Design Week Scholten & Baijings showed their new furniture designs for the collection of renowned Japanese brand Karimoku
